How to be a mother?

I know being a mother or a parent is a hard task, that's why me and my husband are not yet planning to have one until we are financially stable (though my body clock is ticking).  We are very afraid of the responsibilities of having a child.  We are worried how we will feed them, how to take care of them and how they will live or survive.  In short, we are worried in all the things that will happen.  Now the question is:  IS IT REALLY HARD?

Well, my cat Qiana gave birth few weeks ago.  We are both excited what will be the kitties look like. Will they look like their mother Qiana who is so gorgeous?  Or will they look like the father?

One day, when we went home from work. SURPRISE! She gave birth! And we are really really happy for her.  When we are checking the babies, well they are not so cute yet as we are expecting and we know that because they are still small.  After few minutes, my cat stood up and greeted us though she's not leaving her place.  We are surprised to see there's one more kitties lying, and she's/he's dead.  'm not sure if that is a boy or a girl, my it looks badly damaged.  I don't know if it's my cat's fault because that's the first time that she gave birth.  Anyways, one is dead out of 4 kittens..not so bad.

Few days later, the kitties are starting to look cute.  These 3 kitties are so loved by their mother.  She always hugs them (literally hugs them) and cleans them all the time.  I think my cat has a OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder).  The first 2 are boys and they are so HUGE. They even have this jelly belly like the mother.  The smallest one is so small.  BUT she's the only one who got the look of their mom, she looks like a pure Turkish van though the father is from I don't know what breed.

Sad to say, she's a little deformed.  Maybe she was born before the dead one.  She has a flat chest and looks difficult to breath.  She's so love by her mom.  She always stays beside her. I feel that Qiana treats her special maybe she feels that there's something wrong with her.  I feel bad abut it but I'm still thankful she's alive.

Now, being a mother, of 3 kitties, is still difficult.  I always see my cat looking underneath our lavatory (where these kitties stays).  She's crying/talking to them.  I think she's saying "get out..come here" and the kitties doesn't react to her.  I also notice that she's giving discipline to them.  When the kittens  will start to walk to the toilet and she will talk to them though I can't understand But i feel what she wants to say. I'm a cat whisperer! hehe.

I think she gets problematic with he children and that's why I conclude that being a parent is a difficult task.

Well, a lot of people there will disagree with me and say that being a parent is the best thing that happened to them.  Duh! I'm not yet a parent and I'm not talking as a professional here.

Any comments/suggestions, I'm happy to hear from you! my comment section is open for all the readers.

leaving Philippines

A lot of people I know, mostly my coworkers before in Manila, are now leaving Philippines for other opportunities abroad.  Some already left, some still undecided, some already planned to leave.  Why?  Why a lot of professionals decided to leave their family behind?  Well, it's very clear.  It's the standard of living.  A common employee in Philippines will not earn enough money even for everyday expenses so what more can you expect after retirement?

After I graduated from college I'm very firm of not going abroad.  Almost all my sisters/brothers went there for work and I thought I can survive in Philippines with my degree in engineering.  Well reality bites.  Yes, there's a lot of offers from companies but if you will go one by one at the end I may end up with 10% of my salary after all deductions and other expenses.

After more than 2 years of working in Ph, I decided to go abroad and found a very rewarding job and pay.  Well, it's not that big but in my age of 26, i think that's okay.  I'm still  earning my name of the industry so I need this experience.

In this country where I work, there's no tax. So, you will get your salary AS IT IS! Wow...free of tax...I remember when I was in Philippines, one company offered me my first 5-digit salary but well, the bigger your salary is, the bigger your tax.  Aside from that, company pays for the insurance, equivalent of SSS in Ph.  They also provide house inventories like A/C, bed, cupboard, etc.

Well, life is still  not easy.  My work is so demanding that I even think of my plan on my dreams.  BUT compare to the work I have in PH, indescribable.

Now, my friend Armie will leave her job for Thailand offers...to think that she get's a very fair salary in PH. Anyways, that life.  If you have chance to go abroad, go as early as possible.  If people will work abroad, there's more chance that they can save money and live a decent life on their retirement.

Future House

Wow.  It's been 2 months when we started paying for our new house that HOPEFULLY we will own after few years.  I have been desperately longing for this house since I'm a kid.  That's one of my goals. To have a own house before 30.  Well, I'm 26 and turning 27 this august but still not that bad.  I'm planning to pay the amortization on 5 -7 years depending on our current financial situation till Jan 2008.  We are both excited.  At last, the hardwork bear it's fruit though it will take us years but me and my husband is striving so hard.

Here are the pics of our house.

The ground floor as you can see is so cool.  It has a garage,  mini pocket garden, service area, living room, dining room and kitchen.  I'm excited to design and select the color of the house.

On the second floor, there are 3 rooms.  One of course is the masterbedroom, this will be our room.  The other 2 rooms of course for the babies that are coming after few years, but since we still don't have it, it will be for our family who wants to stay with us for vacation.  The balcony is on attached to the master bedroom.  Good morning sunrise.

On the third floor, well, there's one more room and we already decided that this will be our music room.  It will be sound proofed after sometime.  And the Family room (multi-purpose area), where I will put a surround sound digital audio system with the biggest LCD TV that we can afford (home theater in short.  Laptops/Desktop computers will also be there.

This is one of the most affordable house in the Philippines nowadays. The location is great.  It is at the back of SM Molino, Cavite.  10 mins away from Alabang Town center and Festival Mall.  I also have a great agent who assisted us buying this house.

Anyways, the construction of our house is expected to start around July or August and I'm pretty much excited about it and I really hope that it will be turn over to us after one year.  On that time, me and my husband will go to Philippines to check everything.

Those who are interested to have this house can also buy one for your own family.  This is a very good investment.
